Jody Adams, Trade Team Opening Porto in Boston's Back Bay This Summer

Last summer, we reported that a James Beard Award winning chef was planning to open a new restaurant in the Back Bay of Boston. Now we have learned a bit more about the place, including when it may be opening.

According to an article in The Boston Globe, Jody Adams of Rialto in Cambridge [ed note--now closed], Trade on the Boston waterfront, and Saloniki in the Fenway is opening Porto with the Trade team (Sean Griffing and Eric Papachristos), with the dining spot featuring Mediterranean fare with the focus being on seafood. The post says that the restaurant, which will be located by Boylston Street and Ring Road at the Prudential Center, will have a raw bar and an outdoor patio, and will be open for lunch and dinner. If all goes as planned, expect a late June opening for Porto.

The address for this upcoming Mediterranean spot in the Back Bay is: Porto, 780 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02199.

[July 6 update: Eater Boston states that Porto opens on Monday, July 11.]
