Pop Icon Brunch @ Thunder Road to Debut in Somerville

A new Sunday brunch restaurant is coming to Somerville, and it will be opening within a music club.

According to a press release, Pop Icon Brunch @ Thunder Road is going to open inside Thunder Road on Somerville Avenue, with the people behind it being Thunder Road owners Charlie Abel and Dan Millen along with restaurateurs Jayson Zeeman and Zach Hirtz, and Executive Chef Chris Malstrom. The release says that the brunch and sandwich bar will include scratch-made food and cocktails, including such items as Eggs Bennie and the Jets (eggs benedict with a spinach arugula salad and southern cheddar grits), Sausage Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (vegetarian sausage, roasted peppers, onions, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin), Pecan't Get You Out of My Head (Belgian waffle with candied pecans, berries, nutmeg butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup), I'm a Barbeque Girl in a Barbie World (pulled pork sandwich with onions, fontina cheese, and cider-poached apple slices on a toasted baguette), and drinks that include what is apparently the only Bloody Mary in New England that is made with freshly-squeezed tomato juice and house-made hot sauce.

Pop Icon Brunch @ Thunder Road will be open starting July 31 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM every Sunday.

The address for Thunder Road is 379 Somerville Avenue, Somerville, MA, 02143. Its website can be found at http://thunderroadclub.com/
