Better Bagels Is Opening Shop at Boston's Seaport Square

A bagel company that has developed a rabid following in the Boston area is going to be opening a shop by the city's waterfront area.

The Boston Herald is reporting that Better Bagels is planning to open at One Seaport Square in the Seaport District this fall, with the article calling the upcoming place a "New York-style bagel shop." The post says that owners James Grimes and Sam Harden currently have their hand-rolled bagels made in a commissary kitchen in Malden and sell them via wholesale channels as well as pop-ups including at Coppa in the South End. The company first started out in early 2014 and have earned what the Herald calls "food-cult kudos" for their bagels over the past couple of years.

[August 30, 2017 update: Better Bagels has not yet opened at One Seaport Square, but it could be one step closer to opening by next week, as a licensing board hearing page indicates that its request for a common victualler license will be looked at on Wednesday, September 6.]

[October 30, 2017 update: Eater Boston mentions that Better Bagels opened yesterday (and quickly sold out of bagels), and that it will be fully open starting tomorrow with hours being 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.]
