Leandro's Italian Restaurant and Tavern to Open in South Easton

A new Italian restaurant is coming to a space south of Boston that has been a bit of a revolving door of dining and drinking spots over the past couple of decades.

The Enterprise is reporting that Leandro's Italian Restaurant and Tavern has been given approval by the Easton Board of Selectmen to operate in the space on Turnpike Street (Route 138) where Blackthorne Publick House had been, and before that, Hibernia Bar and Grille, the Blackthorne Tavern, The 402, Brennan's Grille and Irish Tavern, and the Pickle Barrel Room. The article says that the new eatery will be a family-friendly spot that is managed by Michelle Refinski Leandro, with her husband (who comes from Siros in Quincy's Marina Bay) and his cousin working the kitchen.

Blackthorne Publick House closed for good in April of this year.

The address for this upcoming restaurant in Easton is: Leandro's Italian Restaurant and Tavern, 402 Turnpike Street, South Easton, MA, 02375.
