Oscar's Is Opening in Dedham

A new gastropub is on its way to a Boston suburb that isn't exactly known for its beer bars.

According to a source, Oscar's will soon be opening in Dedham, taking over the space on Washington Street in Dedham Square where Cafe Fresh Bagel and Dedham House of Pizza reside. A Patch article from earlier this summer confirms this, saying that the place looks to serve "restaurant quality food in a pub-like environment," with 20-24 beers on tap while focusing a bit more on food than drink. According to the article, the owner of Oscar's is Dedham resident Ann Francis, while the manager listed is Michael Tallon, who was behind two now-closed dining and drinking spots in the Boston area--Townsend's in Hyde Park and Kendall Cafe in Cambridge.

It looks like Oscar's might be opening in September or October, though a specific opening date has not been given as of yet.

The address for this new gastropub in Dedham is: Oscar's, 380 Washington Street, Dedham, MA, 02026.

[July 17, 2017 update: A Facebook post from the place mentions that Oscar's has soft-opened, with its official opening being tomorrow (Tuesday, July 18).]
