Oath Craft Pizza Raises $9 Million in Funding, Plans to Expand through the Boston Area and Beyond

Over the past year or so, the people behind a pizzeria on Nantucket Island have expanded into the Boston area with three locations in and around the city, and now we have learned that this might be just the tip of the iceberg.

BostInno is reporting that Oath Craft Pizza has raised $9 million in funding and is now planning to open more locations in the Boston area along with shops in New York City and Washington, D.C. as well. Oath President and COO Rick Wolf tells BostInno that "As the restaurant industry evolves to keep up with consumer tastes and preferences, Oath is proud to lead the pack in fast-casual craft pizza. We look forward to bringing our unique flavor combinations and exceptional crust to new guests in Boston and beyond." The article also says that Len Schlesinger--who is the former president of Babson College, COO and vice chairman of Limited Brands, COO and EVP of Au Bon Pain, and current professor at Harvard Business School--has joined the company's board.

Oath Craft Pizza's original location can be found on Straight Wharf in Nantucket while its Boston-area shops are located in South Station, Somerville's Davis Square, and Chestnut Hill Square on the Brookline/Newton border. The website for Oath is at http://www.oathpizza.com/
