Pho Countryside to Open in Former Josephine Space in Kenmore Square

Last week, we reported that a French restaurant in Boston's Kenmore Square had gone out of business. Now we have learned that a new Vietnamese dining spot will be moving into the space, and it will apparently be a new location of an eatery south of the city.

According to a picture sent from Patrick Maguire of Maguire Promotions & Hospitality Consulting, Pho Countryside is planning to open on Commonwealth Avenue where Josephine had been for a bit more than a year until shutting down around the end of August, and based on the sign shown at the site, it looks like this is the same Pho Countryside that is located on Quincy Avenue in Quincy. It is not known if this will be a move or a second location for Pho Countryside, and no opening date has been given as of yet; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

The Quincy location of Pho Countryside offers pho, vermicelli dishes, rice plates, seafood entrees, and more; its slogan is "The Taste of Memory."

The address for this upcoming restaurant in Kenmore Square is: Pho Countryside, 468 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the Quincy location can be found at http://www.phocountrysidema.com/

[January 2, 2017 update: According to a Twitter post from @GospelOfIHM, it looks like Pho Countryside has opened in Kenmore Square (still trying to get 100% confirmation on this).]
