Delectable Desires Pastries in West Roxbury Is Opening a Kiosk at Boston's South Station

The person behind a bakery-cafe that developed from a home-based cake business then a wholesale business is planning to open a second retail location, and this one would be popular with travelers.

According to a licensing board page within the city of Boston website, Delectable Desires Pastries in West Roxbury is looking to open at Boston's South Station, with the new location being a kiosk within the food court. The listing says that the shop, which would have no seats (though there is shared seating just outside of the food court), would be open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If approved, the Delectable Desires Pastries kiosk would presumably offer pastries and cookies--and possibly cake slices and pie slices--based on the offerings at the Centre Street store.

Owner Carlene O'Garro started out in the cake business in 2007, eventually wholesaling her products to cafes and markets across the region; her shop in West Roxbury opened in early 2015.
