Internal Matter in Boston's Fort Point Has Closed

A Fort Point restaurant, wine bar, and cafe that was popular with artists has very quietly closed its doors.

According to several sources, Internal Matter on Channel Center Street appears to be out of business, with one source confirming that it has indeed shut down. The dining spot, which was owned by local photographer and artist Brian Bresnahan, was a coffeehouse in the morning and a dinner spot and wine bar in the evening and was known in part for its live music and hosting of various events. The place first opened in March of 2015, nearly three years after plans for the spot were initially announced.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Boston's Fort Point is: Internal Matter, 35 Channel Center Street, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the place can be found at http://www.internalmatter.com/

[January 27 update: A source tells us (via a hearing notice) that Internal Matter's closing now appears to be official, as the restaurant is seeking to transfer its liquor license to Yo! Sushi in the Seaport District.]
