Ora Trattorizza to Open in Boston's Back Bay

The person behind a recently-renovated Italian eatery in the Back Bay of Boston is opening a new spot in the neighborhood, and it will also be featuring Italian fare.

According to a 2017 preview of restaurants in Boston from Zagat, Jo Megwa of Piattini on Newbury Street is planning to open Ora Trattorizza at an as-of-yet undisclosed location in the Back Bay, though the blurb does says that it will be "steps from the Boston Marathon finish line." The post says that the new spot will feature house pastas and Neapolitan pizza in a "sophisticated" space, with other details on the place not being released as of yet. If all goes as planned, Ora Trattorizza could be opening sometime in April.

Piattini recently reopened after being forced to close in October due to a fire; the restaurant returned with a new look and an updated menu as well as an expanded craft cocktail program.

[November 30 update: A Facebook post and photo from Mark Hagopian (who is involved with the place) shows that Ora Trattorizza will be at 651 Boylston Street next to the Charlesmark Hotel and that its sign is up and lit, with a note from him saying "Coming soon / eventually !" (No new opening date has been given as of yet.)]

[July 10, 2018 update: Boston Magazine says that Ora Trattorizza plans to open July 16.]

[July 17, 2018 update: An update from Boston Magazine says that the opening of Ora Trattorizza has been delayed again, with the restaurant now looking to open sometime this week.]

[July 19, 2018 update: A Facebook post from the place indicates that Ora Trattorizza opens to the public tomorrow (Friday, July 20).]
