"Igloos" Coming to The Lookout Bar in Boston's Seaport District

A rooftop bar in Boston's Seaport District will soon have a new and rather unusual concept that will allow customers to be outside no matter how cold it is.

NBC Boston is reporting (via the bar's Facebook page) that The Lookout at the Envoy Hotel on Sleeper Street is setting up six "igloos," each of which is heated and lit and has seating for eight to ten people along with a small table set up in each one. The post says that when customers in one of the igloos wish to order a drink, they flip a switch to get the attention of a server at the bar, which is located inside the hotel.

The igloos plan to debut to the public on February 9, according to the article.

The web page for The Lookout (as well as The Outlook. which is also in the hotel) can be found at http://theenvoyhotel.com/fooddrink/

[February 12 update: A message sent from the place confirms that the igloos have indeed debuted at The Lookout, and that they will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.]
