VERTS Mediterranean Grill Is Opening in Boston's Downtown Crossing

A growing group of restaurants based in Austin, TX, is planning to open a third location in Boston, with this one being relatively close to its first location.

According to an article in the Boston Business Journal, VERTS Mediterranean Grill plans to open on Washington Street in Downtown Crossing, joining an existing location on Summer Street in the Financial District and a soon-to-open shop on Boylston Street in the Back Bay. The post says that the chain is also looking to expand even more in the region, with possible outlets coming to such spots as the Fenway, the Fort Point/Seaport area, Cambridge's Harvard Square, and Kendall Square at some point in time.

If all goes as well, the new location of VERTS--which focuses on such items as salads, bowls, and pitas--could be opening sometime in May.

The address for this new eatery in Downtown Crossing is: VERTS Mediterranean Grill, 267 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02111. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.eatverts.com/

[August 8 update: A press release states that the new location of VERTS in Downtown Crossing has its grand opening on Friday, August 11.]
