Waxy O'Connor's to Open at Somerville's Assembly Row

It looks like a group of Irish pubs is expanding further into the Greater Boston area, this time opening a location in a growing development in Somerville.

According to a source, Waxy O'Connor's is planning to open in the new Partners HealthCare building at Assembly Row, with the locations page for the pub's website showing that it is indeed on its way to Somerville, though no specific address is given. If it is moving into the Partners HealthCare building, the new Waxy's would join an upcoming location of Mike's Pastry Shop, and possibly a location of Lucky Strike as well.

Currently, locations of Waxy O'Connor's can be found in Brookline [ed note--now closed], Foxboro, Kingston, Lexington, and Woburn, along with others in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (which is its first location), Keene, NH, Plainville, CT, and San Antonio, TX.

The website for Waxy's can be found at http://www.waxys.com/

[March 9, 2018 update: A message sent from the Assembly Row Facebook page indicates that the new location of Waxy O'Connor's is expected to open later this year.]
