Bon Me Is Taking Over the Freshii Space in Boston's Back Bay

A Chicago-based chain of healthy quick-casual restaurants has closed one of its Boston outlets, and a group of Vietnamese food trucks and brick-and-mortar eateries will be moving in.

According to a source, Freshii is now closed in the Back Bay, with the Dartmouth Street space now showing a sign saying that Bon Me will be opening soon. This seems to jibe with a Boston Magazine article from last month that said Bon Me would be indeed coming to the Back Bay, with a recent update within the post saying that it would be opening where Freshii had been until closing a short while ago. No opening date has been given as of yet for the new location of Bon Me, so stay tuned.

Bon Me currently operates a number of food trucks and carts in and around the city, along with brick-and-mortar restaurants at Boston Public Market, Fort Point, Cambridge's Kendall Square and Fresh Pond, and Chestnut Square in Chestnut Hill. Freshii has two outlets in downtown Boston that remain in operation (on High Street and School Street).

The address for the now-closed Freshii (and new Bon Me) in the Back Bay is 185 Dartmouth St, Boston, MA 02116.

[July 6 update: Boston Magazine states that Bon Me has opened in the Back Bay.]
