Marco Polo in Boston's Fort Point Is Closing

A Boston deli that has been in business for nearly a quarter century is shutting down.

According to a couple of sources, Marco Polo in the Fort Point section of the city is closing its doors, with a poster on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page hearing that tomorrow is the last day for the Summer Street shop. (A call placed to the deli this morning confirms this.) At this point in time, it is not known what might become of the space; as soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.

Marco Polo, which first opened in 1993 (according to a Manta page), is a weekday spot that offers breakfast and lunch items such as muffins, omelets, soups, salads, and sandwiches.

The address for Marco Polo is 274 Summer Street, Boston, MA, 02210.
