Caffe Nero is opening in Boston's Seaport District

A rapidly-growing chain of European-style coffee places will expand further into the Boston area, with a new shop now slated for the city's waterfront.

According to a tweet from @ConciergeBoston, Caffe Nero is coming to Seaport Square in Boston's Seaport District, with a follow-up post indicating that it will be moving into The Benjamin and VIA luxury apartment complex on Northern Avenue. Once it opens, the new outlet will join a number of others in and around Boston, including a shop on nearby Congress Street in Fort Point.

Caffe Nero is a London-based chain of coffeehouses that opened its first Boston-area location in 2014.

The address for the new Caffe Nero in the Seaport District is 55 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the chain is at http://www.caffenero.com/

[November 3 update: A Twitter post from Caffe Nero indicates that the new location in the Seaport District soft-opens today, with free coffee served until 3:00 PM.]
