The Smoke Shop BBQ in Cambridge's Kendall Square to Open Second Location; More on the Way

It looks like a popular BBQ restaurant in Cambridge is getting ready to expand.

According to a Facebook post from chef Steve Brady (which has since been taken down), The Smoke Shop BBQ is opening a second location somewhere in the Boston area and more locations are in the works as well. The exact location for the second spot has not yet been given, and while a source has mentioned its possible location, the exact address will not be given here until it has been confirmed (in part because it may be replacing an existing restaurant), so stay tuned.

Chef and restaurateur Andy Husbands first opened The Smoke Shop in Kendall Square in June of 2016, moving into the space where Tommy Doyle's had once been. Husbands also runs Tremont 647 and Sister Sorel in Boston's South End and he has been a part of the competitive barbecue scene with his award-winning IQUE BBQ team. (He has written several cookbooks as well.)
