FoMu Says Farewell to Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay (Again)

A local group of vegan ice cream shops has left one of Boston's busiest streets once again, as its long-term pop-up shop has apparently closed down earlier than expected.

Eater Boston is reporting that FoMu shuttered its temporary Newbury Street shop this week, leaving the space that had once been home to the clothing store Scoop NYC. This is the second time that FoMu has popped up on Newbury Street, with another one being open from August to October of last year--and the latest shop had been planning to stay open through the end of this year, but it shut down a few months early.

FoMu currently has permanent locations in Allston, the South End, and Jamaica Plain, and in addition to its two temporary locations on Newbury Street, it has also had pop-ups in the Fenway and Cambridge's Inman Square.

The address for the now-closed location of FoMu was 177 Newbury Street, while the website for all locations can be found at http://www.fomuicecream.com/
