Jaju Pierogi to Open at Upcoming Bow Market in Somerville's Union Square

The people behind a Gloucester-based pierogi business will be opening a shop within an upcoming development in Somerville.

According to an article in Scout Somerville, Jaju Pierogi is going to be opening a stall at Bow Market in Union Square, with sisters Vanessa and Casey White offering a variety of pierogi--including specials and take-home frozen packages--year around at the complex, which will be located between Somerville Avenue and Bow Street (The pierogi will be made out of the Gloucester space.) The business, which started out in 2015, sells pierogi at various food shops in the Boston area and beyond, and has also popped up at such places as Idle Hands Craft Ales and Sillari's Pizza in Malden along with farmers markets--including the one in Union Square.

As reported earlier, Bow Market plans to have more than 30 stalls (including food vendors) along with one or two brick-and-mortar businesses, a brewery called Remnant Brewing, and a theater. The space had been hoping to open later this year, but it is not known if this is still the case.
