Tsurumen Opens in Somerville's Davis Square

by Marc Hurwitz

A new option for ramen has arrived in Somerville.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Tsurumen is opening tonight in Davis Square, taking over the space on Highland Avenue where Snappy Ramen had been before it moved to Elm Street and was rebranded as Snappy Kitchen. The article says that the new cash-only eatery focuses on two versions of Osaka-style ramen: Paitan chicken ramen and Tokyo shoyu ramen, both of which have a thick chicken-based broth, pork chashu, and house-made noodles. For now, hours at Tsurumen are extremely limited, as the restaurant will only be open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday during the month of April, though its hours will expand at some point.

The address for this new ramen spot in Davis Square is: Tsurumen, 420 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA, 02144. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/tsurumendavis/
