Kimchipapi Kitchen Opens in Allston

by Marc Hurwitz

A brand new Korean and Japanese restaurant has come to Allston.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Kimchipapi Kitchen is now open on Harvard Avenue (where a location of Chicken & Rice Guys had been), with owner/head chef Joon Son returning to the space where he once ran a sneaker store called At the Buzzer. The post says that the dining spot will have a limited menu at first and will only be open for dinner at the outset, with lunch service possibly coming at some point in the future. Currently, Kimchipapi Kitchen is offering "kravings," or appetizers, along with "glory bowls" which include meat/tofu, sauce, toppings, and side dishes.

Son's mother used to own Wu Chon House, a now-closed Korean restaurant in Somerville's Union Square.

The address for this new restaurant in Allston is: Kimchipapi Kitchen, 81 Harvard Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. Its Instagram page can be found at https://www.instagram.com/kimchipapiktchn/
