Met Bar & Grill at Dedham's Legacy Place Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

An upscale suburban dining spot that is part of a local restaurant group has closed its doors.

According to a source, Met Bar & Grill at Legacy Place in Dedham is no longer in business, with a check on its website confirming that it indeed shuttered last week. The note mentions that Met Bar & Grill at the Natick Mall is also closed--though this closure is due to renovations and that it plans to reopen at the end of the month--while Met Back Bay remains in operation. The Met Restaurant Group also includes Saltie Girl. which is located next to Met Back Bay, and Met on Main, which is located in the heart of Nantucket.

The Met Bar & Grill restaurants have been known in part for their classic and modern American fare, with the locations also including a Met Burger Bar which offer a variety of burgers.

Our source tells us that an Italian restaurant is apparently moving into the space where Met Bar Dedham has been, but we have not yet been able to confirm the exact dining spot that might be going in there.

The website for the Met Restaurant Group can be found at https://www.metrestaurantgroup.com/

[August 21 update: According to a press release, the Met space will be taken over by a second location of Massimo, an Italian restaurant whose original location is on Federal Hill in Providence.]
