Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill in Peabody Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

A Boston-area location of a small chain of BBQ spots has shut down after three years in operation.

According to a message from @CappyinBoston, Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill at the Northshore Mall in Peabody is no longer in business, with an email from the place referring customers to their locations in Tyngsboro and Stoughton. No reason has been given for the closure of the restaurant (which first opened in the spring of 2015), and it is not known what might go into its space, so stay tuned for updates.

Florida-based Smokey Bones features mostly barbecue and classic American fare, with its locations being mainly along the Eastern Seaboard. Currently, a total of four outlets can be found in New England, including the two mentioned above along with others in Taunton and Warwick, RI.
