Watertown Diner Has Apparently Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

An old-fashioned diner that changed its name approximately five years ago has closed, and it is not known what might become of the space.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, the Watertown Diner on N Beacon Street is no longer in business, with several Yelp posters mentioning this as well, including one who says that a "real estate poster" was apparently up a few weeks back. (A call placed to the restaurant today indicates that its phone is out of service.) No specifics have been given on why the diner may have closed, nor is it known what might take over the space, so keep checking back for updates.

The Watertown Diner, which had been called Victor's Diner until early 2013, was a retro spot that offered a variety of breakfast and lunch items including pancakes, eggs benedict, sandwiches, steak tips, souvlaki, and more.

The address for this now-closed eatery in Watertown was: Watertown Diner, 212 N Beacon Street, Watertown, MA, 02472.
