Mooncusser Fish House in Boston May Be Replaced by a Dispensary; Could Move to Flash's Space

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like a high-end seafood restaurant in Boston could be losing its home to a dispensary, though if it happens, it plans to move into a nearby space that had once been home to another dining and drinking spot.

According to an article in the Beacon Hill Times, plans have been unveiled for Patriot Care to open a facility in the Mooncusser Fish House space on Stuart Street, with an earlier Boston Sun article mentioning that if approved, the owner of the restaurant would end up moving the spot to the former Flash's Cocktails space next door with no apparent changes being made to it. If the dispensary gets the green light to open, it could be up and running in November or December, though it is not known when Mooncusser might have to close (keep checking back for updates as they come in).

Mooncusser first opened in July of 2017 and was joined by a more casual space called Moon Bar a month later; the two were joined by Cusser's Roast Beef & Seafood last May.

The current address for Mooncusser is 304 Stuart Street, while the address for the Flash's space is 310 Stuart Street.
