Hot Pot Buffet Opens in Chinatown

A new hot pot restaurant has opened in the Chinatown neighborhood of Boston, moving into the space vacated by a dim sum spot that had been around for years.

Located by the Chinatown Gate, Hot Pot Buffet is now open on Beach Street, replacing Imperial Seafood, a spacious Chinese restaurant that recently closed. According to posters on the Chowhound site, Hot Pot Buffet features all-you-can-eat hot pot meals that include a variety of meats and vegetables as well as less-common items such as quail eggs and fried gluten balls. It looks like the cost of lunch is around $15, with dinners being around $20, according to one poster. Another Chowhound poster mentions that no sides are available (at least at this point), and bubble tea is offered, though it is apparently not on the menu as of yet.

The address for this new hot pot place in Chinatown is: Hot Pot Buffet, 70 Beach Street, Boston, MA, 02111. The phone number is (617) 338-0808.
