The Joshua Tree in Allston Is Replacing Barley Hall, Which Had Replaced The Joshua Tree

A restaurant and sports bar in Allston that closed last year to make way for a new dining spot from the same people is returning to the space once again.

Universal Hub reports that The Joshua Tree is planning to reopen on Commonwealth Avenue, moving into the space where Barley Hall has been since last August. The article mentions that the owners of Barley Hall go before the Boston Licensing Board next yesterday to request permission for the name change back to The Joshua Tree, so if all goes as planned, there will soon be two Joshua Trees in the Boston area once again (the other being in Somerville's Davis Square).

[April 5 update: According to their Facebook page, Barley Hall is now officially The Joshua Tree once again.]

The address for Barley Hall/Joshua Tree is 1314 Commonwealth Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. The website for The Joshua Tree in Somerville can be found at http://www.joshuatreesomerville.com/
