Approximately two months after an 80-year-old location of the Brigham's chain closed, it looks like a new ice cream and yogurt shop is getting ready to move into the space.
A note sent to us by http://eatliveblog.com/ indicates that Moozy's Ice Cream & Yogurt Emporium has a "Coming Soon" sign at the site of the former Brigham's on Trapelo Road in Belmont. An article from the Belmont Citizen-Herald and Wicked Local reported back in late January that the new shop may be looking at a mid-March opening, also stating that Moozy's will feature ice cream cakes, tart frozen yogurt, candy, soups, sandwiches, and coffee. The new store will be keeping the old-fashioned booths from Brigham's, though it will also have some high tables in the space as well, according to the Citizen-Herald.
[April 9 update: According to a Chowhound poster (and confirmed by the place's website), Moozy's Ice Cream & Yogurt Emporium is now open.]
