Punjabi Tadka Is Opening in Arlington Center

A new Indian restaurant is on its way to Arlington Center, moving into the space where a few Asian dining spots have been over the past several years.

The Arlington Patch reports that Punjabi Tadka is going to be opening in the former Midami space on Mass. Ave. Midami had closed in late 2011, about a year and a half after replacing Kayuga II, which in turn had replaced Asiana Grille. The Patch article mentions that the person behind the new Indian eatery also owns India Castle and Desi Dhaba in Cambridge, along with Kabab Corner in Medford. Expect Punjabi Tadka to have a "standard Indian menu," with the space remaining much like it was with Midami (no renovations will be done to the interior).

Punjabi Tadka should be open sometime within the next month, according to the Patch.

[August 6 update: The Arlington Patch states that Punjabi Tadka is now open.]

The address for this new restaurant in Arlington Center is: Punjabi Tadka, 444 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA 02474.
