Clear Conscience Cafe in Cambridge's Central Square to Close

One day after reporting that a restaurant between Harvard Square and Porter Square in Cambridge has closed, we now have word that another Cambridge dining spot from the same folks will be shutting down as well.

Cambridge Day is reporting that the Clear Conscience Cafe on Mass. Ave. in Central Square will be closing at the end of August. The article states that the eatery is shuttering because of rising rents, which is also causing the Harvest Co-op grocery store (which is behind the restaurant) to close as well, though the market will be moving across the street to a smaller space. It is not yet known what might be moving into the space that will be vacated by the cafe and the grocery store.
