Makin' Jamaican Food Truck Coming to the Boston Area

Yet another new food truck is on its way to the Boston area, and this one will be focusing on dishes from the Caribbean.

Eater Boston is reporting (via @BOSFoodTours) that Makin' Jamaican will soon be up and running somewhere in or around Boston. Little is known about the Jamaican truck at this point, though a Twitter post on their page indicates that their head chef is "hard at work perfecting some Jamaican specialties for the food truck."

Once it opens, Makin' Jamaican will be the first food truck in the Boston area to focus on Jamaican fare, though some trucks do offer dishes that are often found in the island nation (Silk Road BBQ, for instance, serves jerk chicken and curry goat stew).

[July 30 update: According to their website, the Makin' Jamaican food truck is now up and running from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Commercial Street in Malden Center, across from the T stop. Their menu is not yet up on the website, but a couple of items mentioned on their Facebook page include coco bread and beef patties.]
