Punjabi Grill Is Opening in Somerville's Davis Square

A Pakistani and Indian restaurant in Framingham is going to be opening a new location in one of Somerville's busiest areas.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site (via the Somerville Patch), Punjabi Grill is planning to open on Elm Street in Davis Square, moving into the space where Namaskar Fine Indian Cuisine had been until closing this past winter. Based on the menu at the location on Route 9 in Framingham, it appears that the upcoming Punjabi Grill in Somerville will feature such items as lentil soup, naan, samosas, tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, goat karahi, fried fish, saag paneer, salmon tikka, shrimp biryani, mango lassi, and rice pudding.

There does not seem to be a specific opening date for Punjabi Grill at this point in time.

[August 22 update: According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Punjabi Grill is now open in Davis Square.]

The address for this new restaurant in Davis Square is: Punjabi Grill, 234 Elm Street, Somerville, MA, 02144. The website for the Framingham location can be found at http://www.punjabigrillrestaurant.com/
