Pret a Manger Is Opening in Boston's Financial District

Earlier this year, we reported that a London-based chain of sandwich shops was planning to open a location in the Back Bay of Boston. Now we have learned that they are apparently going to be opening a store in the city's Financial District as well.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, a "coming soon" sign is posted at the corner of Franklin Street and Oliver Street [Ed note: It appears that the poster may have meant Franklin and Pearl] for Pret a Manger, which would make this the second shop to open in the city (another Pret is opening in the former Borders space on Boylston Street). A page within the City of Boston website confirms the Financial District location, stating that the city recently reviewed a  proposed installation of commercial signage and outdoor seating area for Pret a Manger on Franklin Street.

It is not yet known when Pret a Manger might open on Franklin Street; the location on Boylston Street could be opening sometime in November.

[November 14 update: Eater Boston states that the new Pret a Manger in the Financial District is going to open this Friday (November 16), with a soft opening going on today and tomorrow.]
