Something Sweet Without Wheat Is Opening in East Arlington

A bakery that focuses on gluten-free and wheat-free products is getting ready to open in East Arlington.

The Arlington Patch is reporting that Something Sweet Without Wheat is opening on Mass. Ave., moving into the space where Barismo had been until moving next door to a bigger space. The article mentions that the new bakery is owned by two sisters who run a commercial kitchen in Woburn that mainly does wholesaling of its goods (products for the retail bakery will be made in the Woburn space and brought to Arlington each morning). In addition being gluten-free and wheat-free, the items at Something Sweet Without Wheat will also be 95 percent dairy-free and will not contain any tree nuts (other than coconut).

It looks like Something Sweet Without Wheat could be opening its doors as early as December 1, according to the Patch.

[January 17, 2013 update: The Arlington Patch mentions in an article that Something Sweet Without Wheat is apparently on the verge of opening. (The article, which was posted on Tuesday, says that it could open sometime this week.)]

[January 24, 2013 update: An email sent to us from the bakery indicates that Something Sweet Without Wheat will be opening on Tuesday, January 29.]

The address for this new bakery in East Arlington is: Something Sweet Without Wheat, 169 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington MA, 02474.
