Clarke's at South Station in Boston Has Closed

It looks like a restaurant and bar in Boston's South Station has closed its doors after being in business for approximately 20 years.

An email sent to us by one of our readers (Colleen B) indicates that Clarke's at South Station shuttered after business hours yesterday, with multiple phone calls to the place apparently confirming this (the calls went unanswered). Based on an earlier article from the Boston Business Journal, a new CVS may be moving into the Clarke's space, with Clarke's possibly hoping to move into another space within the building. The older BBJ article also says that the restaurant's lease was to expire at the end of the year, which seems to further confirm their closing this week.

[January 9, 2013 update: Eater Boston is reporting that the now-closed Clarke's at South Station will not be relocating, so it appears to be gone for good.]

The address for this now-closed dining and drinking spot was: Clarke's at South Station, 720 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, MA, 02111.
