Radius in Boston's Financial District Is Not Up for Sale (for Now)

One day after reporting that a well-known Boston restaurateur was looking to expand one of his dining spots, rumors were going around that his flagship restaurant in the heart of downtown Boston was up for sale, but it is apparently not true--at least for now.

The Boston Magazine Chowder blog is reported yesterday that Michael Schlow's Radius in the Financial District was possibly for sale, with the lease for the space expiring. An update to the article indicates that the High Street eatery, which focuses on French cuisine, is actually not on the market at this point in time, with Schlow saying that "The restaurant is not for sale and is off to a great start in 2013. Our current extension is up this year and we are exploring all options for the restaurant."

Michael Schlow is also behind such dining spots as Barrio Cantina, Tico, and Via Matta in Boston, along with Alta Strada in Wellesley, which may be expanding to Braintree and Burlington according to news we received this week.
