43 Church in Salem Has Closed

A contemporary American bistro on the North Shore has shuttered after being in business for less than two years.

According to one of our readers--and confirmed by the restaurant's Facebook page--43 Church in Salem closed over the weekend, with no information on what might be replacing it at this point. In August of 2011, the dining spot had taken over the space where a Mediterranean restaurant called The Lyceum had been for more than 20 years.

43 Church featured such items as truffled white mushroom rangoons, oysters on the half shell, flatbreads, burgers, braised lamb shank, seafood risotto, roasted chicken, and steak frites.

The address for the now-closed 43 Church in Salem was 43 Church Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
