Cafe Kiraz in Cambridge Is Closed

A cafe in Cambridge that focuses mainly on sandwiches is closed--and it is not known whether it will be reopening at this point in time.

According to one of our readers, Cafe Kiraz on Hampshire Street (between Inman Square and Kendall Square) has been shuttered for approximately two weeks now, with no note out front explaining why. A check on its website indicates that it is still up, but multiple phones calls have gone unanswered. [Ed note: Another site comes up on an Internet search for Cafe Kiraz, but it is not their site.]

Cafe Kiraz, which opened approximately ten years ago, has been known for its wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches and roll-ups; the eatery has also offered soups, salads, pizza, calzones, pasta dishes, and coffee.

The address for this now-closed dining spot in Cambridge is: Cafe Kiraz, 119 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Its website can be found at http://www.kirazcafe.net/
