McKinnon's Meat Market in Somerville Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

A butcher shop in one of the busiest parts of Somerville that has been around for nearly 50 years has filed for bankruptcy.

According to a Twitter post from Boston Herald writer @DGoodison, McKinnon's Meat Market in Davis Square is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, though no other information has been given at this point in time. (This is a developing story, so keep checking back for updates.)

[November 27 update: According to a bankruptcy court filing seen today, McKinnon's Meat Market has indeed filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has until December 7 to file their statement of financial affairs and the schedules of exactly what they owe.]
