Building Housing Cinderella's, Patty Chen's, Toscanini's in Cambridge May Become Boutique Hotel

An historic structure in Cambridge that is home to two restaurants, an ice cream shop, and residential units above may become a hotel, though the three eateries would apparently remain in the space.

Wicked Local Cambridge is reporting that Patrick Barrett III of PW Realty is looking to turn the building at 907 Main Street in Central Square into a boutique hotel, with the residential section becoming lodging and it looks like Cinderella's Restaurant, Patty Chen's Dumpling Room, and Toscanini's Ice Cream would remain in place. The article says that the 58-room hotel could have a restaurant with a roofdeck, and that an outdoor patio may be built behind Toscanini's, with room rates possibly being around $250 to $300 a night.

If all goes well--including the permitting process and construction--it is possible that the hotel could be ready by 2018, though Barrett says this may be "overly optimistic."
