Sushi Rock to Open Where The Place Had Been in Downtown Boston

A new Asian spot is on its way to downtown Boston, taking over the space where a bar and nightclub had been.

According to a press release, Sushi Rock is planning to open on Broad Street, moving into the spot by the corner of State Street where The Place was. It looks like the new spot will offer sushi as well as BBQ, and it will also have a lounge, live music, and DJs. In 2014, we had reported that a place tentatively called Sushi Rock was going to open on Salem Street in the North End, but it ended up being called Crudo, which opened last June. (It is not known if there is any connection between the upcoming Sushi Rock on Broad Street and that spot.)

The address for this new Asian restaurant and lounge in downtown Boston is 2 Broad Street, Boston, MA, 02109.
