Villa Rosa in Quincy Has Closed

A Quincy institution that has been around for a very long time has decided to call it a day.

According to a Facebook post, Villa Rosa on Adams Street has closed, with the note saying that the people behind the restaurant made the decision not to reopen after closing for renovations in late June. An exact reason has not been given for the closure, but it appears to be based at least in part on a financial decision, possibly related to proposed renovations.

Villa Rosa, which first opened approximately 65 years ago, was a family-friendly Italian restaurant known in part for its pizza. Our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) has featured the place, with the review being found at the link below:

The address for Villa Rosa was 703 Adams Street, Quincy, MA, 02169.
