Relocations and possible closings of restaurants will soon be hitting Quincy Center in a big way, as the upcoming connection of the Burgin Parkway to Route 3A will uproot many stores and restaurants along Hancock Street.
According to the Quincy Patriot Ledger, restaurants that will be affected are the Holy Ground bar and Alba Bar and Grill, though several others may be affected, too. (Restaurants in the general area include Little Q Hotpot, Finian's, Bad Abbot's, Five Spices, Fjui, the Half Door, Kagawa, Napoli, Quincy Jade, and the Siam House.

Marino's In North Cambridge Has Closed
After many months of speculation, Ristorante Marino in North Cambridge is now closed. Rumors about the closing of Marino's have been flying for months now, but they remained open through the end of 2006. As of this time, it is unknown what will go into that spot, but considering the size of the place, plus the relatively ample parking, it would be no surprise to see another restaurant go into this space.

Tir Na Nog in Somerville Is Closing
The list of restaurant closings in Boston keeps on growing, as Tir Na Nog in Somerville is the latest to announce that they will soon be serving their last meals to customers.
Tir Na Nog will be shutting their doors at the end of January, making this Irish pub in Union Square the latest in a long line of beloved Boston restaurants that have closed (others include Caffe Umbra in the South End, Newbury Pizza in the Back Bay, Classic India in Quincy, and Desmond O'Malley's in Framingham). Tir Na Nog will certainly be missed, as the tiny pub offered patrons some great music, excellent food, and perfect pints.
No reason has been given at this point as to why Tir Na Nog is closing.
