SlowFest to Be Held in Boston, April 23-24, 2010

Get ready for another culinary event, as a beer and food festival is coming to Boston later this week. On Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24, SlowFest will be held at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street in the South End and will include a number of markets, restaurants, caterers, and beer vendors. The two-day event will focus on session beers (beers that are lower in alcohol and tend to be popular in Britain) and samples of local food.

Some of the restaurants that are participating in SlowFest include the Centre Street Cafe in Jamaica Plain, Deep Ellum in Allston, Estragon in the South End of Boston, The Independent in Somerville, Nourish in Lexington, Sherman Market in Somerville, and Stone Hearth Pizza in Belmont, Cambridge, and Needham. Beers from Ayinger, Belhaven, Cisco, Gritty McDuff's, Long Trail, Rapscallion, Samuel Smith, Victory, and many others will be available.

Tickets for SlowFest cost $50 for the April 23 VIP session ($55 on the day of the event) and $40 for either one of the April 24 sessions ($45 on the day of the event).
