Plans for Doughnut and Bagel Shop in Somerville's Davis Square Fall Through

It looks like a doughnut and bagel shop that was being planned for one of the busiest parts of Somerville will not be happening after all.

Eater Boston is reporting that plans for a place tentatively called Davis Square Donuts and Bagels have fallen through and that the Summer Street space is now apparently up for lease. Last year, we had mentioned that the person behind Opa Greek Yeeros on Highland Avenue (which has since opened) was also hoping to open up the doughnut and bagel shop, but EB says that he ended up pulling out of the plans, citing the possible leasing out of the space by the owner of the building.

At this point in time, it is not known what might happen to the space, which is now covered in plastic wrap.
