Punjab in Arlington Center Plans to Reopen This Month

A year and a half after being forced to shut down due to a burst water pipe, an Arlington restaurant is finally on the verge of opening back up again.

A post within the "Short Orders" section of the Arlington Advocate indicates that Punjab in Arlington Center plans to open sometime this month, with the Mass. Ave. dining spot being open for dinner only once it reopens. (The place will be available for events at lunchtime.) Punjab closed in February of 2016 after a water pipe burst during an extreme cold spell, and while it had hoped to reopen its doors quickly, it was apparently hit by a series of setbacks that kept it from doing so, according to a source.

The address for Punjab is 485 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02474. Its website can be found at http://www.punjabarlington.com/

[August 7 update: A Facebook events page indicates that Punjab's grand reopening will take place on August 21.]

[August 17 update: Your Arlington states that Punjab has a soft opening for family and friends tomorrow (Friday, August 18) and it will also be open for "professional guests" on Saturday.]
