It looks like a new spot is opening in Roslindale, and it may end up being a multi-use concept.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, The Square Root is seeking a beer and wine license to operate on Corinth Street in Roslindale Square, with the address indicating that it plans to move into the space where Marla's Obsession Boutique had once been. An earlier post from Universal Hub (via Roslindale Village Main Street) mentions that a three-in-one business had been looking to open in this space, with the spot being a breakfast and lunch cafe as well as a co-working space during the day, and a performance space at night. It is not known if this is still what is being planned for the site; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.
The address for this new spot in Roslindale Square is: The Square Root, 2 Corinth Street, Roslindale, MA, 02131. Its website can be found at http://www.squarerootrozzie.com/
[February 21, 2019 update: A message sent to us from Universal Hub indicates that The Square Root is now open, with this being confirmed by the website for the place, saying that "The wait is over! We are now open with a limited menu."]
