A popular chocolate shop and cafe in New Mexico is expanding to the Greater Boston area.
According to an article in The Boston Globe, Kakawa Chocolate House in Santa Fe, NM will be joined by a new location in Salem next to the Peabody Essex Museum on Essex Street, while also having a kiosk in the museum as well. The post says that new spot will offer chocolate drinks (also known as "elixirs") and such items as brownies with chile powder, blueberry-basil truffles, white chocolate macaroons with lemon and pistachio, rose-flavored caramels, and ice cream could also be offered. If all goes as planned, Kakawa Chocolate House may be opening later this fall.
The Salem Chamber of Commerce states that the address for this new chocolate shop and cafe will be 173 Essex Street, Salem, MA, 01970. The website for the business can be found at https://kakawachocolates.com/
Thanks to Eater Boston for initially bringing this to our attention.
