A popular dining spot for sandwiches and more in downtown Boston has shut down permanently.
According to a tweet from @EricFromWV, New Saigon Sandwich on Washington Street has closed for good, with a Facebook post from the place confirming this, saying that "Chinatown as we know it has changed drastically. We are proud to have been a part of the community for almost 2 decades....New Saigon Sandwich will miss you all." The dining spot, which was located on the western edge of Chinatown, was known mainly for its banh mi, while also offering spring rolls, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, bubble tea, and more.
The address for the now-closed New Saigon Sandwich was 696 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02111.
