A new gastropub featuring craft beers and cocktails has come to the South Shore, taking over the space that had been home to a casual upscale spot that was known in part for its small plates with global influences.
According to a source, 4th & Cherry is now open in Weymouth Landing, moving into the former Passport space on Washington Street, with a check on its Facebook page indicating that it focuses on upscale pub grub along with a variety of beers, organic wines, spirits, and cocktails. The people behind the new spot are Eric Orozco and Eric Hasse, both of whom were involved with Passport, which Neil Kiley of Fat Cat in Quincy first opened in 2013 before closing in 2017 due to construction and then reopening under new ownership (Orozco and his wife Inga took over the place from Kiley while Hasse headed up the kitchen).
The address for 4th & Cherry is 59 Washington Street (Route 53), Weymouth, MA, 02188.
